Puppies

Our puppies are raised with Puppy Culture in our home. They are handled from a young age, under go sound desensitisation, travel desensitization, grooming, bathing, nail trimming, crate training, recall and luring. They meet a variety of safe children, people and dogs. Are exposed to novel objects, surfaces and textures. They are wormed, microchipped and vet checked prior to leaving.

Puppies will be matched to their new owners based on their needs, to ensure they and their new families are the best fit. The “best” puppy could be a nightmare in the “wrong” home. We hope to have a long lasting relationship with our puppy families and are very selective of who they are.

The contract of sale is a legally binding document, going over the below points, which must be signed prior to the homing of a puppy. The full document is are viewable here.

Updates

New families are to be in contact and over any issues. Knowledge of these things will be help to improve our breeding program for future litters to come.

I understand this may not be the desired level of communication for some people, but, this will help us be there with you every step of the way, and take accountability where we can.

Training

Puppies and must attend puppy school and learn basic obedience; Stay, Come and Leave it. These commands go a long way to improving the quality of life.

Proper desensitisation and socialisation during their crucial development period helps prevent and or minimise behavioural problems in the future.

De-sexing

This is a hotly debated topic, with quality studies both for and against, however we feel the pros out weigh the cons.

Puppies are to be de-sexed by the age of 2 years old. We encourage and accept alternatives such as; vasectomy’s or ovarian sparing spays.

Exceptions and alternative arrangements can be made for; working, sporting or show prospects, experienced responsible owners with a proven track record in correct management of unaltered dogs.
